Bio
Steve Mackin is President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
With a deep understanding of the organization’s Mission, Vision and Values, Mr. Mackin has been with CTCA for nearly 14 years. Prior to his appointment as President and CEO, Mr. Mackin has held various executive positions at Southwestern, including Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Ancillary Services and Assistant Vice President of Oncology Patient Services.
Under Mr. Mackin’s leadership, the hospital has dramatically expanded its technology platform, implemented new services, increased its physician base and added 148 jobs in a four- year period to help better serve those who come first—our patients. In the past four years, the hospital has experienced record patient satisfaction with an average Net Promoter Score of 95. In 2011, Southwestern was also recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work in Oklahoma” by OKC Biz magazine and was honored with the 2010 American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award.
Prior to coming to Southwestern, Mr. Mackin served in various roles at the other CTCA locations, including a position at the corporate office as a Management Fellow. Mr. Mackin earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and an undergraduate degree from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Mr. Mackin serves on the board for the United Way Foundation, the Tulsa Community College Foundation and is a past board member for Junior Achievement. He also volunteers his time as the Executive Chair for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk as well as for Tulsa’s Future Committee with the Tulsa Metro Chamber. Mr. Mackin is a member of Leadership Tulsa Class 45 and the Young Presidents’ Organization.
