Cancer Treatment Centers of America® recognized for excellence in marketing communications

Recipient of Two National Hospital Marketing Awards

BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 7, 2016—Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), a national network of five hospitals that serves adult patients who are fighting cancer, was named the recipient of two Hospital Marketing Advertising Awards in a national competition sponsored by DTC Perspectives, Inc.

CTCA® won the Gold Award in the “Best Service Line Campaign” category for its overall marketing communications program and the Silver Award for “Best Digital Campaign,” which highlights the company’s innovative arrangement with WebMD, with whom CTCA has worked collaboratively to provide visitors across WebMD’s Consumer Network with comprehensive and actionable information about the latest developments in cancer care.

According to DTC Perspectives, Inc., a conference, training and publishing company for the marketing of hospitals, pharmaceuticals and health care products, the Advertising Awards are designed to showcase exemplary work in multiple media disciplines and are segmented by location, size and category. “We’re proud to recognize the best hospital marketing across the country,” said Bob Ehrlich, CEO of DTC Perspectives. “With imminent change to our health care system, it’s more important than ever for hospitals to be positioning and branding themselves in the eyes of consumers.”

More than 75 entries were received in the two award categories, which included hospitals with more than 500 beds. DTC Perspectives’ editorial and executive teams served as judges, and the awards were presented at the Hospital Marketing National Conferences in Atlanta, Ga., and San Diego, Calif., earlier this year. The judging criteria included how well the communications broke through marketplace clutter, how well the content was understood by the target audience, and how motivational and engaging the messages were to consumers.
