ATLANTA, Nov. 14, 2012—Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) Southeastern Regional Medical Center Board of Directors announced the appointment of Anne Meisner as
the new president and CEO of its hospital in Newnan, Ga.
Meisner has been serving patients at CTCA for more than 20 years, and for the last six years, as president and CEO of CTCA’s Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern) in
suburban Chicago. Growth in patient services and the highest patient loyalty scores in the nation are hallmarks of Meisner’s tenure at CTCA. Under her leadership, Midwestern introduced
numerous patient-centric programs in advanced radiation therapies, immunotherapies, cell therapies and Wisdom MedicineSM. She was the originator of the widely-heralded Patient
Empowered Care® model, wherein all services desired by cancer patients are delivered in one location. She also expanded Midwestern’s stem cell and cell therapy program; expanded
its surgical services and tripled its surgical space; and opened a Quality of Life clinic.
Additionally, Midwestern has been recognized by the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers Program (NQMBC) as a Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence – the only breast
center of excellence in Illinois, and one of only 33 centers nationally. The hospital has also received the HealthGrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award for three consecutive years.
Midwestern was recently named among the top 10 Workplaces in Illinois by the Chicago Tribune, and is also ranked above all other hospitals in patient loyalty scores by Bain & Company.
Meisner, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, is a Masters Prepared Registered Nurse and former intensive care unit nurse. She is a member of many professional organizations,
including the American College of Healthcare Executives. She and her family will relocate to Newnan prior to the end of the year.
