Edgar D. Staren
Senior Vice President for Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Staren is the Senior Vice President for Clinical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer for Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), as well as a practicing surgical oncologist. In this comprehensive role, he develops and monitors new clinical services, provides leadership in research initiatives, and serves as a medical spokesperson for CTCA.
Dr. Staren has pioneered the use of surgical ultrasound in the United States and is a leader in other advanced surgical techniques, such as radiofrequency ablation. As a MD, PhD, and MBA scholar, Dr. Staren is a member of numerous academic organizations, including the American Surgical Association, the Society of University Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Physician Executives. He is also the former president of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
