Metronomic Chemotherapy for Oral Cancer
For a number of years, Cancer Treatment Centers of America has offered metronomic chemotherapy. Recognized for its ability to reduce side effects of nausea and vomiting, metronomic chemotherapy delivers smaller doses of chemotherapy drugs over a longer period of time. Traditional methods, on the other hand, typically deliver chemotherapy in a single, large dose.
By dividing your total chemotherapy dose into smaller, more tolerable amounts and administering the treatment over a period of three to five days, we believe it may work against cancerous cells for a longer period of time.
