Multiple Myeloma Treatment: Metronomic Chemotherapy
Metronomic chemotherapy has been used as a multiple myeloma treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) for several years. Recognized for its ability to reduce side effects of nausea and vomiting, metronomic chemotherapy delivers smaller doses of chemotherapy drugs over a longer period of time, rather than in a single, large dose. By dividing your total chemotherapy dose into smaller, more tolerable amounts administered over a period of three to five days, we believe it may also work against the myeloma cells for a longer period of time.
