While undergoing treatment, exercise may be the furthest thing from your mind. But according to Stanislav Maravilla, an activity/exercise program can offer tremendous benefits in strengthening your muscle tissue and keeping your immune system at peak function.
The Rehabilitation Services team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center knows how to make the most of your physical capabilities through such services as physical therapy, massage therapy, speech therapy, lymphedema management and Tai Chi classes. By enrolling in our Motion for Life program, you’ll also receive therapeutic exercise training to increase muscle mass and strength, improve balance and decrease fatigue while receiving treatment.
Maravilla is a licensed physical therapist and a graduate of Southwestern University in Cebu City, Philippines. He has been practicing physical therapy since 1992.
