Dr. Mohanad Joudeh knew at an early age that becoming a doctor was a good fit. “My interests have always been geared toward science, problem solving, and people. I have always wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives. Ultimately, I decided that the best way I could use my skills and talents would be through medicine, and from that point my efforts were dedicated to becoming a doctor.”

In 2001, Dr. Joudeh researched gene cloning at the University of Chicago Hospitals, Department of Surgery, Molecular Oncology Lab. He also conducted a study involving a new colonoscopy technique in the Office of Radiology.   While at the University of Chicago, Dr. Joudeh was on the Dean’s Honor List.

After receiving his medical degree from Louisiana State University, Dr. Joudeh completed his residency through the University of Illinois at Chicago Internal Residency Program.

Dr. Joudeh believes that patients should have an active role in their medical care. “It’s very important when managing and treating complex diseases that the patient is involved in the decision making process. Patient empowered care means providing the person with the understanding of the disease process, the comfort that he/she is not alone, and teaching the patient the tools to use to address the medical problems.”

“CTCA is a hospital that truly puts patients first. Patients can feel confident that this hospital cares about

them as individual people. CTCA wants patients to feel comfortable as if they are at their own homes. This hospital strives on every level to make sure the patient is satisfied.”
