A key member of many patients’ care teams, naturopathic oncology provider Kelly Baltazar provides recommendations for natural therapies (e.g., vitamins, minerals, herbs) that aim to reduce treatment side effects and improve quality of life.
Baltazar completed a bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She then pursued training in naturopathy, earning a doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. Additionally, she completed a doctorate degree in chiropractic medicine and a master’s degree in advanced clinical practice at the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois.
Baltazar has been a naturopathic and chiropractic provider in Illinois since 2007. In addition to caring for patients, she has developed naturopathic medicine training programs and supervised naturopathic students. Prior to joining Cancer Treatment Centers of America® in June 2013, Baltazar served as an assistant professor and chief clinician for the Naturopathic Medical Program at the National University of Health Sciences.
Since completing her degrees, Baltazar has pursued further training in many areas, including primary care for women, medical nutrition and integrative oncology.
In her free time, Baltazar enjoys being with her husband and their newborn and spending time outdoors. A dedicated runner, she has completed marathons and half-marathons.
