As a physician assistant at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern), Diane Mokhtapour is directly involved in helping patients who are undergoing surgery as part of their fight against cancer. Mokhtarpour works closely with the surgical oncologists at Midwestern, including Dr. C. Komen Brown and Dr. Harold Huss, and believes that, along with evidence-based treatment, quality of life is an important part of cancer treatment.

"I came to CTCA because I want to make a difference and improve the quality of life for others," says Mokhtarpour. She brings to the CTCA family significant experience as a physician assistant for family practice, emergency medicine, spine and sports medicine, and surgery.

Mokhtarpour earned a bachelor's degree in biology and psychology, with honors, from Elmhurst College in 1996. She then earned a master's degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University in 1999.

"I am proud to be a part of the care team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America," says Mokhtarpour. "I believe in the Mother Standard® of care, and I am thrilled to work for a hospital that helps patients through every stage of the cancer journey."

Mokhtarpour has four children and two grandchildren, and when she is not caring for patients at CTCA, she loves gardening and "life's surprises."
