Vice President of Finance/Controller
Phillip Kaufman, CPA, joined CTCA in 1999 and has served in a variety of positions prior to his appointment of the Vice President of Finance/Controller at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern).
In his current role, Mr. Kaufman brings over ten years of financial management experience all within the healthcare industry. Mr. Kaufman is directly responsible for all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, budgeting and planning, supply chain management, hospital revenue management and capital and operational analysis.
Major accomplishments under Mr. Kaufman’s leadership include successful implementation of new financial ERP system across the entire organization, seven-plus years of successful audits without a single audit adjustment during a period of significant growth, improvements to the planning process and the adoption development of a financial advocacy program aimed at helping patients overcome financial and insurance barriers to enable them to obtain treatment at CTCA®.
Mr. Kaufman believes strongly in building his teams with a high sense integrity and ethics all while putting the patient first. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Elmhurst College and a Master of Science degree in Accountancy and Financial Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Phillip is also a Certified Public Accountant.
He is an active member of his community serving on various boards including serving as Chairman of the Board for NorthPointe Resources, a nonprofit agency serving adults with disabilities. He is an avid outdoorsman and loves to spend time with family.
