"I am proud to provide state-of-the art oncology care to patients at Cancer Treatment Centers of America."

Dr. Rohit R. Shah
Medical Oncologist

Dr. Rohit Shah brings a great wealth of talent to Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center. He is an experienced medical oncologist who is board certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology.

Dr. Shah says he loves working at CTCA because of how friendly everyone is. He also loves the fact that he can offer patients state-of-the art oncology care.

He completed his residency at Mercy Hospital in Chicago and his fellowship in oncology-hematology at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital in Hines, Illinois.

Dr. Shah spent a number of years in private practice. In addition, he served as an attending physician at Lake Forest and Highland Park hospitals in north suburban Chicago, and as a consulting physician at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois. During his tenure at Lake Forest Hospital, he served as chairman of the department of medicine. He also established the hospice at Lake Forest Hospital and served as its medical director.

Dr. Shah is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Cancer Society, as well as the Illinois State and Lake County Medical societies.

In recent years, he has ventured to the Philippines for several medical missions. While there, the group of doctors and support staff Dr. Shah works with see up to 150 patients of all ages each day. They’ve been able to provide medical services, as well as much-needed equipment and medication, to residents in some of the most remote areas of the country. These medical missionaries donate everything, with additional support from the American Cancer Society and other medical relief charities.

Dr. Shah is married with three adult children.
