Since 1979, Dr. Ranulfo Sanchez has been an integral member, not to mention a visionary leader, on our surgical oncology team.
During his tenure at CTCA, Dr. Sanchez has served as both Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery.
Dr. Sanchez received his medical degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines. He later completed a dual residency in pathology and general surgery at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Brooklyn.
His memberships include the American Society of General Surgeons and the American Society of Clinical Hyperthemic Oncology.
One of the factors responsible for Dr. Sanchez’s long tenure at CTCA is the center’s unique approach to patient care, which he describes as being more compassionate and collaborative than most hospital settings, thus, allowing patients to experience greater all-around healing benefits.
