Dr. Pakorn Sirijintakarn
Radiologist
For more than two decades, Dr. Pakorn Sirijintakarn has been a vital member of many of our patients’ care teams at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center. The board-certified radiologist utilizes some of the most sophisticated, medical imaging tools and software to help locate and stage cancer.
In addition to overseeing advanced diagnostic tests (e.g., MRI, PET/CT, ultrasound) and analyzing test results, Dr. Sirijintakarn performs minimally invasive procedures, including sentinel node biopsies, angiography and tracheostomies. These intricate procedures help our physicians provide patients with comprehensive care.
Dr. Sirijintakarn received a medical degree with honors from Chulalongkorn University Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand. He then completed an internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, where he also served as Chief Radiology Resident. Following his residency, he spent 11 years as Mount Sinai Hospital’s Director of Neuroradiology.
For many years while Dr. Sirijintakarn practiced radiology, he also established himself in the academic field. He taught as an assistant professor of radiology at both Rush University and the Chicago Medical School.
Dr. Sirijintakarn is a member of the American College of Radiology, as well as the American, Illinois State and Lake County Medical societies.
