If you want to know about the history of CTCA, ask Dr. Alfonso Mellijor. He was the second physician to join CTCA back in 1981, and as such, has an extensive knowledge of our integrative care structure.
As founder and head of the New Patient Evaluation Process, he calls upon this knowledge everyday to guide patients in selecting the treatment and supportive services that best meet their needs.
Dr. Mellijor received his medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines. After moving to the United States, he completed surgical residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Brooklyn and a fellowship in surgical oncology at the State University of New York.
