Dr. Michael Tsinman says being able to devote as much time as possible to his patients is extremely important to him. That’s why he joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern).

“At CTCA, I’m able to completely focus all of my time and attention on caring for patients,” says Dr. Tsinman, who is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In many respects, Dr. Tsinman takes on the role of a primary care physician for patients who are hospitalized. He helps to coordinate their general care and see that all of their medical needs are met throughout their stay at Midwestern.

Dr. Tsinman helps to care for patients who receive surgical treatment. He works with our surgical oncologists and staff to ensure that patients are comfortable before, during and after surgery. Additionally, Dr. Tsinman provides internal medicine consultations to outpatients who are undergoing radiation therapy or chemotherapy.

Dr. Tsinman obtained a medical degree from Grodno State Medical Institute in Grodno, Belarus, where he was in the top 10 percent of his class. He then moved to the United States, where he completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago/Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He subsequently completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey.

Dr. Tsinman gained significant experience as a hospitalist and internist before joining CTCA in 2008. He served as an attending physician at hospitals in Illinois and New Jersey. In these positions, Dr. Tsinman cared for patients in emergency room, surgical and intensive care settings.

Throughout his career, Dr. Tsinman has been advocate for patient empowerment. He encourages his patients to take an active role in their healthcare.

Dr. Tsinman is fluent in Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and Belorussian. His hobbies include playing the piano, water polo, ice hockey, and snowboarding.
