Dr. Jabeen Abutalib is proud to be part of a team of doctors and other clinicians that does everything possible to help cancer patients heal and experience a better quality of life.
The hospitalist, who joined the staff at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in 2008, says, “CTCA’s care model of putting patients first attracted me to CTCA. That’s exactly the way I’ve always practiced medicine, so it was the perfect match. Plus, I was very impressed by the fact that CTCA integrated traditional and complementary treatments, and offered all of these treatments and services under one roof.”
Dr. Abutalib is board certified in internal medicine. She earned a medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She went on to complete a surgical and medical internship at the college’s hospital.
Dr. Abutalib performed a volunteer observership in internal medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. She also completed an internal medicine residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, also in Chicago.
Prior to joining CTCA, Dr. Abutalib served as a hospitalist at St. James Hospital and Health Centers in Olympia Fields and Chicago Heights, Illinois. As an associate professor for Midwestern University as well, she taught residents at St. James.

It was published in the journal Clinical Lymphoma & Myeloma.
