Interested in becoming a volunteer at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois? Our volunteer program is open to adults and teens (age 14 and older).
As a volunteer, you'll play an important and valued role in restoring healing and hope in the lives of our patients.
We'll help you find the volunteer position that best matches your skills. There are a number of opportunities to interact with patients and caregivers through traditional services, as well as behind-the-scenes volunteer duties to support hospital departments. Volunteer assignments exist in both clinical and nonclinical areas of the hospital.

Program requirements
- Complete application process (includes application form, background check and reference check)
- Fulfill appointment with Occupational Health Department (includes immunization blood test for measles, mumps, rubella, and chicken pox; drug screening; health history; test for tuberculosis)
- Commit to 100 hours of volunteer service within a 12-month period
- Interview with volunteer services and hospital departments
- Attend volunteer orientation
- Complete hospital and departmental training
- Follow uniform and dress standards
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance, accomplishing minimum service requirements
