Cancer Treatment Options 7 Days a Week
Life is busy, especially when you have cancer. Now you can receive quality care on your timeline—any day of the week.
The Seven-Day Clinic at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Midwestern Regional Medical Center (Midwestern) is a way to better serve you and your families by providing access to the medical oncology clinic and our Patient Empowered Care® (PEC) model on the weekend. The Seven-Day Clinic provides medical oncology, imaging, integrative care services, lab work, rehabilitation services and travel/scheduling.
You can schedule your appointments for any day of the week to better accommodate your lifestyle.The Seven-Day Clinic hours are Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Infusion is available from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Weekday clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
*NOTE: The intake process, radiation therapy and surgery are not offered on the weekends at this time. However, this is subject to change as the program further develops.

By offering the same standards of CTCA care on Saturdays and Sundays, it allows you to miss fewer work days and spend more time doing what you want to do. The Seven-Day Clinic at Midwestern provides the following advantages:

What is Patient Empowered Care (PEC)?
As part of our expanded hours program, Ervin Hire, MD, medical oncologist will lead the Empowerment TeamSM. Dr. Hire's PEC team will be available for appointments Saturday through Tuesday.
PEC provides patients with a seamless experience during every visit with a fully focused core Empowerment Team—including a medical oncologist, naturopathic oncology provider, registered dietitian, nurse care manager, clinic nurse and others dedicated to helping them fight their specific cancer. All team members come to you in one comfortable room, one right after another, for a focused and uninterrupted visit that ensures the entire care team and you are on the same page throughout treatment.
