MRI for Lymphoma

One of the innovative and non-invasive diagnostic technologies the cancer experts at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) use to precisely pinpoint cancer cells within the body is Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI.

Most MRI systems consist of a large, life-sized cylindrical magnet. When a patient is placed inside the MRI system, a body scan is performed. Instead of using x-rays, MRI uses powerful magnetic energy and radio waves to capture highly-accurate, cross-sectional images or "slices" of the body’s soft tissue, to distinguish between healthy and diseased tissue.

MRI is a valuable way to help CTCA radiologists stage lymphoma. Using MRI, your CTCA care team, including radiologists and other specialists, can determine the most appropriate lymphoma cancer treatment plan for you, and ultimately customize your lymphoma cancer treatment to your unique needs.
