Chemotherapy for Lymphoma

dr redei

Chemotherapy is one of the traditional lymphoma treatment options provided at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). Chemotherapy drugs, often called “anticancer” drugs, aim to destroy lymphoma cancer cells by impeding the cells’ growth and reproduction. Chemotherapy drugs may be administered intravenously (through a vein), by injection, or by mouth. Chemotherapy may be used alone, or in conjunction with other lymphoma treatments, such as radiation therapy.

In addition to offering many standard chemotherapy protocols for lymphoma, your care team at CTCA will continually revise our chemotherapy protocols to reflect new treatments available in the fight against lymphoma.

We also understand potential chemotherapy-related side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and mouth sores, can greatly impact your quality of life. CTCA offers new chemotherapy delivery methods, such as fractionated-dose chemotherapy, which may reduce or moderate these side effects. The fractionated-dose approach involves administering the total chemotherapy dose in smaller amounts over a longer period of time, instead of in one large, single dose.

In addition, throughout your lymphoma treatment, your CTCA care team will also provide various complementary medicine therapies. These supportive therapies can help reduce treatment-related side effects and improve your quality of life.
