Lung Cancer Treatment at CTCA
At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), you will benefit from the expertise of a highly skilled and compassionate team of medical professionals. You will personally work with a medical oncologist and a multidisciplinary team, which may include a surgical oncologist and radiation oncologist, to develop a comprehensive, individualized lung cancer treatment plan that is tailored to your particular needs.
In addition to meeting with your oncologist, you will also meet with other practitioners who specialize in complementary/supportive therapies, such as nutrition, naturopathy, spiritual support, pain management, physical therapy and mind-body medicine. Our complementary therapies help you to cope with related lung cancer symptoms and side effects from conventional treatments (e.g., chemotherapy). Ultimately, these therapies help to improve your quality of life.
Each week at CTCA, your team of doctors and practitioners meets to discuss your specific medical, nutritional, emotional and spiritual needs as your lung cancer treatment progresses. Each expert brings a different set of knowledge and skills to the table, allowing the team to address all of your needs. This open communication and collaboration allows our experts to share in your progress and provide truly comprehensive, quality cancer care.
You will also work alongside a care manager, who will follow you throughout your lung cancer treatment, from your first visit to your after care. If you have any questions or concerns throughout your relationship with CTCA, you can contact your care manager at any time.
