When other hospitals tell you there’s nothing more we can do, they mean there’s nothing more they can do. At Cancer Treatment Centers of America, we use the latest diagnostic tools and treatment technology to treat even the most advanced lung cancers.
Our team of experts work with you to develop a personalized lung cancer treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and diagnosis. We use a combination of treatments, including advanced chemotherapy and radiation therapies, integrated with supportive therapies, such as nutrition therapy, oncology rehabilitation and mind-body medicine.
Our clinicians also recognize the importance of addressing conditions other than cancer itself. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and hypertension are two common conditions associated with lung cancer. Our whole-person approach helps you fight cancer and maintain a better quality of life.
Lung Cancer Treatment Options
Our advanced technology gives you lung cancer treatment options you may not even know exist. We treat patients who are not candidates for radiation therapy. Many lung cancer patients who have reached their maximum tolerance dose of traditional radiation may be a candidate for HDR brachytherapy, TomoTherapy® or stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). Using these techniques, we’re able to target tumors more precisely, while sparing healthy tissue.
We bring innovative therapies to our patients as quickly as possible. Our Interventional Pulmonology program serves advanced stage and other complex lung cancer patients, many of whom have received previous cancer treatment. Using the latest techniques, our team treats the disease and provides relief from symptoms, like difficult breathing, chronic coughing or pain.
Our Hospitals
Our goal is to make your experience at our hospital as convenient and stress-free as possible. Our staff takes care of every detail of your visit—from gathering your medical records to scheduling your appointments to booking your travel and lodging.
We’ll explain what you can expect during your visit and help put you at ease. By the time you arrive at a CTCA hospital, our clinicians will have completed a comprehensive review of your medical files. Within the first two days, we’ll conduct a complete array of diagnostic tests and consultations with your lung cancer team.
When you’ve completed your lung cancer treatment, our Survivorship Support Program connects you with a nurse who you can call anytime. Your survivorship nurse helps you manage long-term side effects of lung cancer and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Lung Cancer Treatment Outcomes
We’ve started tracking clinical outcomes for lung cancer patients who treat at our hospitals, and comparing these outcomes with those tracked in the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database. Visit our Lung Cancer Outcomes Data page to find additional lung cancer information and see our survival statistics and results in detail.
