Fractionated-Dose Chemotherapy for Liver Cancer
Designed to help reduce side effects of liver cancer treatment, fractionated-dose chemotherapy has been offered by the cancer experts at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) for several years.
Fractionated-dose chemotherapy differs from conventional chemotherapy in that the total dose of your anti-cancer drugs is given in smaller amounts over a longer period of time (three to five days), rather than a large, single dose. Not only may the smaller dosages help reduce chemotherapy side effects, but fractionated-dose chemotherapy may also increase the overall effectiveness of your liver cancer treatment by working against the cancerous cells for a longer period of time.
