At Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA), we provide an experienced team of image enhancement specialists to help laryngeal cancer patients deal with the aftereffects of cancer and resulting treatment. From chemotherapy hair loss to other changes in the skin or body, we understand how difficult it can be to adjust to sudden changes in your appearance. Your care team members will work with you to help you effectively anticipate, respond and adjust to these changes in your appearance. We’ll help you to feel good about yourself and make the most of your appearance.

Cosmetic image enhancement

If you are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation as part of your laryngeal cancer treatment, the cosmetic image enhancement program in our facilities will help you to address body image issues and prepare you for hair loss or other cosmetic changes that may occur. We offer helpful classes and seminars, as well as consultations with beauticians, cosmetologists and salon personnel.

Plastic/reconstructive support

Plastic and reconstructive support is also available to patients who are undergoing surgery as part of their laryngeal cancer treatment. Our surgical oncologists work with a team of plastic and reconstructive surgeons to consult with you prior to cancer surgery. In many cases, the plastic surgeons perform their restorative procedures immediately following or during laryngeal cancer surgery.
