Radiation therapy for intestinal cancer

With advanced radiation therapy delivery systems, our radiation oncologists are better able to target difficult-to-reach tumors in the small intestine. Also, our radiation oncologists may direct higher radiation doses at intestinal cancer cells, while reducing exposure to normal, healthy tissue.

Advanced forms of Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) such as TomoTherapy® and Trilogy™ may be used to treat small intestine cancer.
