Zometa^®

Zometa^® - The trade name for zoledronic acid, Zometa^® is a drug used to treat cancer patients who are experiencing side effects of bone pain and/or hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood). Zometa^® can be used together with other drugs to treat multiple myeloma. Zometa^® can also be used to help prevent the risk of broken bones and skeletal fractures. A bisphosphonate, Zometa^® belongs to a class of drugs which inhibit osteoclast action and bone resorption.
