Vulvar Cancer Treatment - Vulvar cancer treatment varies according to the cancer location and stage, as well as the patient's age and general health. Surgery is a common form of vulvar cancer treatment. Surgical procedures may include local excision, vulvectomy, lymphadenectomy, or pelvic exenteration. The goal of surgery is to remove cancerous tumors from the vulva, while trying to leave as much normal tissue as possible. Radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy may also be used alone, or in conjunction with surgery to help eradicate any remaining cancer cells.
