Vidaza® - The trade name for azacitidine, Vidaza® is a drug used in the treatment of chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). Vidaza® is also used to treat myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a nonmalignant condition which occurs when the bone marrow is unable to produce enough healthy blood cells. MDS can progress to acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). Vidaza® belongs to the family of drugs called antimetabolites and is administered via subcutaneous (under the skin) injection.
