Velcade^®

Velcade^® - The trade name for bortezomib, Velcade^® is a drug typically used to treat multiple myeloma (which has gotten worse during treatment with other anticancer drugs), and mantle cell lymphoma (in patients who have already received at least one other type of treatment). Velcade^® belongs to a class of drugs called proteasome inhibitors, which interfere with the growth of cancerous cells by impeding the cells' ability to break down proteins. Velcade^® is administered via intravenous (IV) infusion.
