Vectibix™ - The trade name for panitumumab, Vectibix™ is a human monoclonal antibody (a laboratory-produced antibody that locates and binds to cancer cells). Vectibix™ is used in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer in patients whose disease has not improved after treatment with other anticancer drugs. The first fully human anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody, Vectibix™ blocks cancer cell growth by binding to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), which may result in a decrease in tumor cell growth. Vectibix™ is administered via intravenous (IV) infusion.
