Torisel™ - The brand name for temsirolimus, Torisel™ is a drug used to treat advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC). A kinase inhibitor, Torisel™ works by inhibiting the mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) kinase, a key protein required for cell growth. By blocking this enzyme, Torisel™ can help prevent the growth and survival of cancerous cells. Torisel™ is administered intravenously via injection.
