Tonsil Cancer - Cancer that begins in the tonsils. Part of the lymphatic system, the tonsils are the two oval-shaped masses of tissue located at the back of the throat. Most forms of tonsil cancer are squamous cell carcinomas, but some are lymphomas. Tonsil cancer occurs most often in men between the ages of 50 and 70, and has been linked to heavy smoking and alcohol consumption.
