Tongue Cancer Treatment - Tongue cancer treatment depends on the type, location, and stage of the cancer, as well as the patient's age and overall health. One common form of tongue cancer treatment is surgical removal of the tumor. Radiation therapy may also be used in conjunction with surgery to shrink cancer cells before a procedure, or to eradicate any remaining cancer cells afterwards. Chemotherapy (anti-cancer drugs) is often used to help treat metastatic tongue cancer which has spread to other areas of the body.
