Thyroid Cancer Treatment - Treatment for thyroid cancer depends on several factors, including the type, stage, and location of the cancer. Surgery is a common form of thyroid cancer treatment. Thyroid cancer surgeries may include: thyroidectomy (total, near-total, or subtotal), lobectomy, and lymph node removal (e.g., neck dissection, sentinel lymph node biopsy). Additional forms of thyroid cancer treatment may include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and/or hormone therapy.
