Tasigna® - Tasigna® is an oral chemotherapy drug used in the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myelogenous leukemia (Ph+ CML) in some adult patients who have not responded well to other chemotherapy drugs (such as imatinib). Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) accounts for about 15 percent of all cases of adult leukemia. The majority of CML cases have cells containing the abnormal Philadelphia chromosome. A tyrosine kinase inhibitor, Tasigna® works against cancerous cells by interfering with cell communication and growth.
