Sutent^®

Sutent^® - The trade name for sunitinib (or sunitinib malate), Sutent^® is an oral chemotherapy drug. Sutent^® is used in the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma, and gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) that have not responded to another drug called imatinib. Sutent^® is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) receptor inhibitor, and angiogenesis inhibitor. Sutent^® works against cancerous cells by interfering with cancer cells' ability to communicate and reproduce.
