Salivary Gland Cancer Symptoms - One of the initial symptoms of salivary gland cancer is a small, painless lump or mass found on or near salivary glands located in the lips, mouth, cheek, and/or throat. Other salivary gland symptoms may include the following: facial numbness, swelling under the chin or around the jawbone, muscle weakness on one side of the face, and a persistent pain in the face, neck, or mouth. Since these symptoms could resemble a variety of other, non-cancerous conditions (including a benign salivary gland tumor), it is important to consult with a medical professional for an accurate diagnosis.
