Many pituitary tumors are asymptomatic (showing no visible signs or symptoms). When symptoms do occur, they may arise from excess hormones produced by functioning tumors, or from the tumor's weight pressing on nearby parts of the brain. Other symptoms may include headaches, difficulty with or loss of vision, and vomiting.
