Oxaliplatin

Oxaliplatin - A chemotherapy drug used to treat certain types of colorectal cancer. Oxaliplatin belongs to the family of drugs called platinum compounds. Oxaliplatin may be used with other drugs to treat colorectal cancer that has advanced or recurred. Oxaliplatin may also be used as an adjuvant therapy for stage III colorectal cancer (in patients who have already undergone surgery). The trade name for oxaliplatin is Eloxatin™.
