Non-Small Cell Cancer Treatment - Lung cancer treatment is based on a variety of unique factors, such as cancer type and stage, the patient's age and general health, and more. Surgery is a common treatment option for early stage non-small cell lung cancer. Depending on the tumor size and location, there are several different surgical procedures (e.g., wedge resection, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, sleeve resection) which could be used. Other possibilities for non-small cell lung cancer treatment may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and photodynamic therapy (PDT).
