Mucositis

Mucositis - Inflammation of the mucous membranes that line the digestive tract. Most often experienced as sores inside the soft tissues of the mouth, mucositis is sometimes a side effect of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and some biological therapies used in cancer treatment.
