Metastatic Ovarian Cancer - Cancer that originates in the ovaries, but then spreads to other areas of the body, such as the diaphragm, intestine, mentum (a fatty layer that covers and pads abdominal organs), liver, or lungs. Because ovarian cancer is often asymptomatic (displays no visible signs or symptoms) in its early stages, it is often not diagnosed until it has metastasized to other areas of the body. Also known as advanced ovarian cancer.
