Melanoma Symptoms - The most common symptom of melanoma is a change in a mole's size, shape, and color. This change can be in the form of asymmetry (by which one half of the mole does not match the other half), border irregularities, color irregularities, or size of diameter (larger than 1/4 inch). Other melanoma symptoms may include itchiness, pain, or oozing around the affected area. Because these symptoms could be the sign of a benign or cancerous condition, a medical professional should be consulted for an accurate diagnosis.
