Lesion

Lesion - Any basic tissue abnormality associated with the normal presence of the skin. Some lesions may be cancerous, or symptomatic of certain types of cancers. Often, a biopsy is the only reliable way to determine whether a lesion is benign (non-cancerous) or cancerous.
