Laughter Therapy - Also known as humor therapy, laughter therapy is the use of laughter to promote overall health and wellness. Laughter therapy aims to use the natural physiological process of laughter to help relieve physical and/or emotional stresses or discomfort, and improve quality of life. Proponents of laughter therapy believe the act of laughing can trigger the release of endorphins (the body's natural painkillers), enhance oxygen intake, boost the immune and circulatory systems, stimulate the heart and lungs, and relax muscles throughout the body.
