Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy - Also known as IPC, intraperitoneal chemotherapy is a treatment in which anticancer drugs are delivered through a thin tube into the abdominal (peritoneal) cavity to directly target cancerous cells in that area. In some instances, the medication may be heated to increase its absorption rate (and with an intention that the heat itself may kill cancer cells).
