Glioblastoma

Glioblastoma - A malignant and fast-growing type of glial brain tumor (or central nervous system tumor), glioblastomas are considered the most aggressive form of brain cancer. Also called glioblastoma multiforme, GBM, or malignant astrocytoma, glioblastoma is the most common grade IV brain cancer tumor. It forms in the supportive tissue of the brain and spinal cord. Glioblastomas comprise approximately 23 percent of primary brain tumors in the United States and usually occur in adults.
