Glioblastoma Treatment - There are a number of factors that determine a glioblastoma treatment regimen. Factors can include the size and location of the tumor, as well as the patient's age and overall health. Glioblastoma treatment may involve a team of physicians that include a neuro-oncologist, medical oncologist, surgical oncologist, radiation oncologist, neurosurgeon, and more. Glioblastoma treatment options can include surgery, radiation therapy and/or chemotherapy. The goals of treatment may be to completely remove the tumor, reduce the tumor size (e.g., debulking), relieve symptoms, and/or improve brain function or the patient's comfort.
