Gemzar^®

Gemzar^® - The brand name for the generic drug gemcitabine (or gemcitabine hydrochloride), Gemzar^® is an intravenous chemotherapy drug. A type of antimetabolite, Gemzar^® is used in the treatment of certain types of pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, metastatic breast cancer, and ovarian cancer. Similar to other chemotherapy drugs, Gemzar^® works against cancerous cells by interfering with their ability to grow and reproduce.
